Floor Sanding

Floor sanding benefits
Floor sanding benefits

Wooden flooring sanding offers a multitude of benefits that can breathe new life into tired or damaged floors. Firstly, sanding removes surface imperfections, scratches, and stains, restoring the floor's smooth and even appearance. This process also eliminates uneven areas and levels out minor height differences between boards, resulting in a more visually appealing and cohesive floor. Additionally, sanding exposes a fresh layer of wood, which allows for the application of a new finish or stain. This revitalises the floor's natural colour and grain, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal. Furthermore, wooden flooring sanding can help to improve the durability and longevity of the floor by removing any weakened or deteriorated layers, ensuring a solid and stable surface. Sanding also prepares the floor for subsequent treatments and maintenance, such as refinishing or resealing, which further protect the wood from future wear and tear. Overall, wooden flooring sanding is a cost-effective and efficient way to renew and enhance the beauty of wooden floors, making them more visually pleasing, durable, and resilient for years to come.

Our floor sanding services
Our floor sanding services

We sand and finish any type of wood or cork flooring, providing that the floor is suitable for sanding, offering expert advice on the type of finish best suited to your floor.

We use the most efficient sanding machines available. With 98% dust extraction and a 9″ wide rotating belt, we can achieve the same high quality finish seen on the decks and in the ballrooms on the the luxury yachts and liners for which these machines were designed.

We use profile sanders and edgers – also fitted with dust extraction, to ensure that the end result is uniform throughout and nothing is missed.

If you are worried about the mess, do not give it another thought. The investment we have made in our sanding equipment means that sanding the floors does not mean turning your home into a dust bowl.

In most cases, a floor has to be finished throughout with a single final coat. This means moving all furniture from the area. If you need help with the furniture, we can also help with that.

"Delighted with my new pine wood floorboards! Ervis and his team were great from the moment I contact them to providing guidance throughout and the final execution. Lay new flooring, sand the old one and the new and lacquered everything in just 2 days!! I think the price was more than fair too! I'd definitely contact them again and would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a floor specialist!"
